Nazareth Announces Lineup Change and New Lead Singer
Nazareth has confirmed a significant lineup change as Carl Sentance departs from the band after nearly 11 years as lead vocalist. The announcement was made by bassist Pete Agnew, who stated that Sentance is no longer with the group. Following the announcement, Nazareth introduced Gianni Pontillo as the new lead singer.
In a recent video message, Sentance expressed gratitude to fans for their support and announced his plans for a solo tour in January, followed by performances with his new band, Lords of NWOBHM. He emphasized his excitement for the upcoming year, particularly a tour starting in Tokyo.
Agnew praised Pontillo's vocal talent and highlighted the band's busy schedule for the upcoming year, encouraging fans to experience the new lineup. Nazareth, co-founded in 1968, continues to be a prominent name in rock music, known for classic hits from the '70s and '80s. The band is set to perform two U.S. concerts in May, alongside Foghat.
